The forthcoming 2012 Olympics are drawing nearer and we are very proud to be a part of this special occasion. Hart were chosen out of a possible 50 plus door companies by Sir Robert McAlpine to supply all of the roller shutters to the Olympic main stadium. Prior to the award we assisted Sir Robert McAlpine with the specification and operation of the shutters with safety and continuity in mind for this all important venue.

Technical collaboration between ourselves SRM and Populous has been ongoing since the award to make sure that the integration of our shutters goes smoothly into one of the most prestigious buildings in the UK. Installation of the shutters has now begun and is going very well with completion scheduled for April 2010.

As an official London 2012 supplier we are subject to strict working practises and an audit from the ODA/SRM took place this month. Two representatives, Tony Russell and Khalid Elhassen, visited the Hart factory recently to audit and review progress on the roller shutters and fire shutters. Everything went extremely well which is a testament to Harts’ working ethics and quality system procedures.
