Door servicing

Nationwide service back-up

Hart's national installation service is supported by a service back up for all its products through time-served electricians with full Hart product training, supported by a computer-based control system which optimises resources in case of breakdown.

Hart has also introduced a Maintenance & Lifetime Warranty package. This has been introduced for two reasons - to emphasise the quality of product delivered by Hart and to establish a routine for regular servicing, essential on any engineered product and, of course, required under the Machinery Directive and the BS and EU standards which are a legal requirement with potential for criminal liability.

Some of the key areas of a MLW are as follows:

It is a rolling contract for lifetime, the warranty including a minimum of two service visits per annum with all parts & labour charges arising inclusive within the contract, excluding damage caused by accident or mis-use.

Service intervals: Usually at intervals of six months though this can be increased if Hart feels its installation and high-usage required more regular servicing. Service includes: Visual inspection, full test of all system parameters and safety systems, inspection and spanner check all fixings, adjustments, lubrication and labour for minor part replacement, required warrantee works, recording of cycles and condition, all works completed and maintained in computer log and finally report sheets conveyed to client, all complying with ISO 9001; 2000 Quality Systems.

Faults: most faults on automatic doors result in the door remaining open as the safety systems fail to safe and prevent the door from closing. Frequent service significantly helps to prevent breakdown by maintaining alignment, adjustments and so on.

Health and Safety: Regular maintenance is compulsory under the current legislation all works are undertaken to comply with this legislation.

Manufacture and service base: All design, manufacture, service organisation and management functions are located at Head Office in Newcastle upon Tyne. Hart's service vans carry essential spares. Main components are manufactured and delivered normally in 3-7 days from Hart's maintained stocks.

Extended warranties inclusive of planned maintenance visits are also available. These are a great way of ensuring your doors receive the very best treatment and give you great peace of mind.

Hart's service engineers work from Newcastle, nationally and there is support from local engineers in the South and Midlands to provide rapid response.
